Minju Joson Blasts U.S. for Getting Frantic with Arms Buildup in Asia-Pacific Region
Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The U.S. deployed 60 percent of their submarines with nuclear weapons aboard in the Pacific including waters around the Korean Peninsula and keeps them ready to go into action, according to foreign press reports.

It was reported that the U.S. is mulling deploying six aircraft carriers in the Asia-Pacific region including a nuclear-powered carrier already forward-deployed in Japan for the purpose of monitoring some countries and deterring their moves.

The U.S. had already decided to transfer nuclear-capable carrier Roosevelt to the 3rd Pacific fleet from the Atlantic fleet and the nuclear-capable carrier Ronald Reagan which was commissioned in 2003 is expected to be deployed in Yokosuka port to replace nuclear-capable carrier George Washington.

Minju Joson Saturday observes in a commentary in this regard:

The unusual concern shown by the U.S. for bolstering up its strategic nuclear forces in the Asia-Pacific region goes to prove that it is keen to establish military supremacy in the above-said region and realize its scenario for world domination at any cost.

Now that big military powers to be reckoned with are located in the region, it is calculation of the U.S. that it can create a favorable climate for attaining its military and strategic purpose only when it contains and pressurizes these powers by force of arms.

Due to the U.S. arms buildup and its policy for military showdown in the Asia-Pacific region the military tension is rapidly escalating in the region and the dark clouds of a nuclear war are gathering over it hour by hour.

All facts go to prove that it is no more than an armchair argument to talk about world peace as long as the U.S. is allowed to pursue its strategy for world domination by force.
