Workers, Farmers Vow to Implement Tasks Set Forth in Kim Jong Un's New Year Address
Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- Employees of industrial establishments and agricultural workers across the country in their meetings vowed to successfully implement the important tasks set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address.

Reports were made at the meetings to be followed by oath-taking speeches.

Reporters and speakers said Kim Jong Un set this as a year of a grandiose struggle, a year of sea changes in which all service personnel and people should usher in a heyday of Songun Korea by raising a fierce wind of a fresh leap forward on all fronts of building a thriving socialist nation and clearly indicated the tasks and ways to the army and people of the DPRK.

They underscored the need for those in agricultural field to apply scientific methods in farming, increase the proportion of mechanization in it, produce quality compost and thus contribute to increasing agricultural production of the country in this significant year marking the 50th anniversary of the Theses on Socialist Rural Question published by President Kim Il Sung.

They underlined the need for those in industrial field to actively develop finishing building materials by relying on locally available resources and indigenous technology, boldly push ahead with the technological updating of factories and thus successfully supply building materials necessary for construction in Pyongyang.

They stressed the need for the scientists to make remarkable sci-tech successes to reach the world standards as befitting the scientists living in the great era of Kim Jong Un.
