S. Korean Chief Executive's New Year Press Conference Decried
Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The south Korean media termed the New Year press conference held by the puppet chief executive as the one characterized by her arrogance and self-complacency.

Her New Year press conference was absolutely disappointing as she repeated her previous self-righteous stand only, far from repenting on causing social chaos, said an editorial of Kyunghyang Daily News on Jan. 6.

As for the issue of the Intelligence Service's interference in the election, she avoided trouble by saying "let's drop time-consuming contention". As for the controversy over the distortion of history in textbooks she described it as "dispute of isms", and termed it groundless "Left-inclined" argument, evading direct answer to the issue of the textbooks which justified sycophancy and dictatorship.

Internet newspaper Voice of People in an editorial on Jan. 7 said the New Year press conference disclosed her intent not to seek any understanding with the people in the future, either.

History called as dictators those "presidents" who refused to share understanding with those with differing thinking and stand, the editorial said. It ridiculed the chief executive, saying if she really opts for this road.

Hankuk Ilbo in an editorial on the same day criticized the chief executive, saying at the press conference she trumpeted about "strictly countering illegal strike".

CBS on Jan. 6 deplored the chaotic political situation, saying that this situation is likely to continue by the chief executive.
