Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. of Disturbing Peace
Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The results of the poll conducted by a U.S. opinion poll research institute at the end of last year made it clearer that the U.S. is chiefly to blame for threatening peace in the world, says Rodong Sinmun Friday in an article.

When 68 000 people of 68 countries were asked to answer the question "Which country is the biggest threat to global peace?" many respondents said the U.S. is the biggest threat to the world peace. The article goes on: The U.S. is apt to assert that it should ensure global pace in a responsible manner. But this is no more than rhetoric intended to cover its aggressive nature and attain its hegemonic purpose with ease.

"Peace" touted by the U.S. is a pronoun of aggression, war and interference.

Under that pretext the U.S. has perpetrated wars of aggression and armed intervention, harassing international peace order and imposing unspeakable misfortune and disaster on people. The countries, which fell victim to its wars of aggression and interference in their internal affairs, are without exception thrown into serious social chaos and disorder and their economies go bankrupt. Tribal and sectarian conflicts and disputes among political forces have reached to such an uncontrollable phase that whole society turned into a pandemonium.

Military and political standoff is getting serious among countries in the regions to which the U.S. stretched its tentacles of aggression. In a word, there is no tranquil place in the countries and regions exposed to the U.S. interference.

Its interference and war moves have gone into extremes on the Korean Peninsula, threatening the sovereignty of independent states and existence of humankind. The situation on the peninsula remained so tense last year that a war might break out there any moment.

The U.S. should stop such reckless military moves reminiscent of a guilty party filing the suit first, well aware of how the international community approaches it.
