Conservative Forces' Move to Distort History Has Gone Bust in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on Tuesday in an editorial said that the move of the puppet conservative forces to distort history has gone bust.

The editorial recalled that the distorted history textbook written by conservative scholars was rejected at schools.

It means that the conservative textbook met rebuff and frustration at schools for beautifying pro-Japanese acts and military dictatorship and falsifying historical facts, the editorial noted, and continued:

The conservative forces labeled the contemporary history textbook published by the Gold Star Publishing House of south Korea in 2003 "Left-inclined," sparking off a history war which has lasted more than a decade. Finally, the conservative forces knelt down before the people and suffered a heavy defeat.

Actions against the conservative forces' moves to impose the distorted textbook upon students are now under way at many schools.

It is a noteworthy event that the people won actions staged in demand of the cancellation of the distorted history textbook, saying there is no future for the nation that forgot history.
