Kim Il Sung's Feats for Korea's Reunification
Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- It is 20 years after President Kim Il Sung left his last autograph on a historic document concerning Korea's reunification, which reads: Kim Il Sung on July 7, 1994.

This autograph tells how he had worked heart and soul for national reunification.

In his lifetime the President had always cared much about the national reunification issue. He took the issue into consideration even when drawing up any state policy and guiding economic and external affairs.

In the period from June 20 to July 5, 1994, the last year of his great life, he gave scores of instructions on national reunification. And on July 7, a day before his demise, he examined a reunification-related document to be dealt at forthcoming inter-Korean summit and put his last signature on it.

Kim Il Sung was the lodestar of national reunification and father of the Korean nation who devoted all his life to accomplishing the cause of the country's reunification.

So, the document carrying his last autograph has been preserved as a national treasure for all ages and a monument inscribed with his signature was erected at Panmunjom to convey to posterity his great feats for national reunification.
