Soldiers Vow to Thoroughly Implement Tasks Set forth in New Year Address
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The service personnel of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces held a meeting to vow to thoroughly implement the tasks set forth by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address. They met at the April 25 House of Culture on Saturday.

Present at the meeting were Ri Yong Gil, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA), Jang Jong Nam, minister of the People's Armed Forces, officials of the ministry and KPA soldiers.

A report by Jang Jong Nam was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said Kim Jong Un's New Year Address serves as guidelines indicating the short-cut to the heyday of Songun Korea and an inspiring banner encouraging the party, army and people to dynamically advance for a greater victory, united close around the Workers' Party of Korea.

They referred to the fact that Kim Jong Un glorified significant year 2013 with miraculous events by wisely leading the army and people of the country.

They noted that through the struggle of last year all the army and people cherished the immutable truth that nobody can check the sacred cause of the Korean people advancing to a great goal upholding Kim Jong Un, adding that the people have turned out in the march of new year with confidence in sure victory and optimism.

They call on all the participants to successfully discharge the honorable mission and duty of the powerful revolutionary army of the President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un in building a thriving nation and accomplishing the cause of national reunification this year.

They stressed that the tasks of struggle for this year are difficult and gigantic but only victory and glory will be in store for the Korean army and people thanks to the outstanding and seasoned leadership of Kim Jong Un, adding all the people should make a dynamic struggle for a greater victory this year, united close around the Party in single mind.
