Fireworks Displayed in Sky over Pyongyang on New Year's Day

| Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The watch-night bell tolled and fireworks were displayed in the sky over Pyongyang at 00:00 hour on the New Year, Juche 103 (2014). Multi-color fireworks turned the nocturnal sky over Kim Il Sung Square and the Tower of the Juche Idea into fantastic scenery. People were very much pleased and excited to watch a myriad of fireworks. Immense jubilation and happiness could be read on the faces of cheering children. The Tower of the Juche Idea was more brightly lit by an uninterrupted display of fireworks, reflecting the determination of the spectators to glorify their life on the road of patriotic devotion, singing the song "Ode to the Motherland." |
