Minju Joson Urges US to Face up to Public Mind-set
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Pew Research Center recently conducted an opinion poll on the subject of "2013 position of the U.S. in the world".

According to its results, more than half of the U.S. population said that their country should not interfere in the internal affairs of foreign countries; it ought to settle its issues on its own; and it should let other countries solve their issues at their will.

The center has carried out the similar poll for nearly 50 years. The recent one is something unprecedented as the majority of those polled voiced such an opinion.

Minju Joson Tuesday, commenting on this, says:

The recent poll suggests that the U.S. foreign policy with main emphasis on interference in the internal affairs of other countries is not welcomed even in the U.S. only to be rejected and come under fire by its people.

The present times are an era of independence and nobody wants to be shackled by others.

Quite contrary to this, however, the U.S. has been bent on domination, subjugation, aggression and war as well as destruction and plunder.

It is none other than the U.S. which forces other countries to accept its view on value, regarding its own as an absolute one; resorts to the high-handed and arbitrary military practices against those who are disobedient to it; and brandishes the stick of sanctions at will.

The foreign policy of the U.S. seeking hegemony is the main factor of leading it to self-destruction.

The U.S. had better drop such an outdated foreign policy doing harm to others as well as to itself, and mind its own business.
