Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Observed
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Foreign media carried special write-ups from Dec. 13 to 17 on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Syrian paper Al Thawrah carried an article illustrated with a photo documenting revolutionary activities of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

It said:

December 17 marks the second anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

The international community is highly praising Kim Jong Il as a distinguished thinker and theoretician and the greatest man.

He passed away but he is alive in the hearts of all people for his immortal exploits.

The paper Al Baath in an article lauded the sacred revolutionary career of the peerless great man who made tangible contributions to the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

The Hungarian paper Liberation carried an article saying that Kim Jong Un is leading the party, army and people of the DPRK to victory, true to the intentions of the preceding leaders. The paper edited a photo of him inspecting a unit of the Korean People's Army.

Guinean national and international broadcasting services aired a program under the title "The feats performed by great HE Kim Jong Il for human cause of independence will shine forever."

It reported that Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly great man and defender of socialist cause, peace and justice who made a great contribution to the human cause of independence.

His idea and cause are being successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Un, it stressed.
