In the period the servicepersons and civilians of the DPRK have devotedly worked to perpetuate the memory of their leader, with the unshakable faith, pure conscience and strong sense of moral obligation.

With the 1st anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise as an occasion, the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state, was further spruced up as the sacred temple of Juche thanks to the meticulous guidance of the dear respected Kim Jong Un and citizens' loyal devotion. The palace is very wonderful and perfect in content, form and scale.

The law on the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun was adopted on April 1, 2013, to permanently preserve the palace as a monumental edifice for perpetuating the memory of the Generalissimos. Meanwhile, the plaza of the palace turned into a park of flower garden with sincerity and loyalty of all the people.

Last year the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on horsebacks appeared in the compound of the Mansudae Art Studio on the Day of the Shining Star, the birthday of Kim Jong Il. And their figure statues were erected on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, the 100th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung. The erection in a little more than 100 days showed the DPRK people's strong will to accomplish the revolutionary cause of the great Generalissimos.

Similar statues took their shapes at Kim Il Sung Military University, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and in cities of Kanggye and Hamhung, while Kim Jong Il's sole statue was built in the compound of the Ministry of State Security for the first time in the country.

The highest order and prizes bearing smiling images of Kim Jong Il were instituted, and smiling portraits of the Generalissimos, mosaic murals depicting them set up across the country.

The tower with the letters reading "The great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il will always be with us" appeared in all provinces, cities, counties, industrial establishments, farms and universities.

With the diamond jubilee of the Korean people's victory in the 1950-1953 Fatherland Liberation War as an occasion, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum in Pyongyang was newly built into a center for education in the undying feats of the Generalissimos for war victory and the Songun (military-first) revolution.

Besides, the Revolutionary Museum of Kim Il Sung University, Jonsung Revolutionary Museum and other revolutionary sites and museums in the country have been spruced up thanks to the devoted efforts of the army and people.
