Kim Jong Il Remembered in India
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Events took place in India from Dec. 7 to 14 on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il. They included a remembrance meeting, seminar on his exploits, lecture, book and photo exhibition and film show by the Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, the Juche Philosophy Study Committee, national information technology institute and Juche idea study societies in 28 local cities of India.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos documenting the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were books and photos introducing the DPRK.

Films shown included Korean film "Arms of Korea."

The chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung said that Kim Jong Il led the Workers' Party of Korea for decades, performing distinguished feats for the development of the party.

The chairman of the Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il noted that Kim Jong Il was the great master of leadership. He aroused the army and people of the DPRK to defending socialism under the uplifted banner of Songun, opening a turning phase for the building of a thriving nation, the chairman said, adding:

He ushered in the grand June 15 era of reunification based on the idea of "By the Korean nation itself" and conducted energetic external activities, making great contributions to accomplishing the human cause of independence and defending global peace and security.

The chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee said that the history does not know such a great man as Kim Jong Il who dedicated his whole life to the people.
