Vishwanath, director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea who is secretary general of the International Kim Il Sung Prize Council and the International Kim Jong Il Prize Council, presented a graceful and delicate gold-plated necklace to Kim Jong Il when he visited the DPRK in April, Juche 101 (2012).

Kim Jong Il was presented with woodwork "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il" by the delegation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Korea Friendship Association.

Among the gifts are literature "Glory to the Great Leader General Kim Jong Il, the Sun of the 21st Century!" presented by Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, crystal craftwork "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il" by Harish Gupta, director-general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, long sword and metal plate bearing words of praise by Ibrahim Mantu, former deputy president of the Nigerian Senate, a fur cushion by Julio Ballesteros Espin, chairman of the Ecuador-Guaranda Institute for Friendship and Cultural Solidarity with the Korean People, and a gong, a national musical instrument of Thailand made more than 100 years ago, by Songchit Pullarp, head of the delegation of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand.

He was also presented with oil painting "General Kim Jong Il, Sun of Songun" depicting a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il standing among beautiful flowers which form a world map under the bright sun by the international preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung and bronze craftwork "Tower Indicator of the Equator" by Rilo Vitervo, prefect of Bilovan County of Bolivar Province, Ecuador.

He was awarded ceramic jar from the family of Zhou Wei who is daughter of Zhou Bao-zhong, Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and painting "Gate to Michael Square" from the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and the DPRK on the occasion of the first anniversary of his demise.

He was also presented with a stainless kettle by members of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association.

Among the gifts were order "The Centenary of the Russian Submarine Fleet", agate craftwork, painting "Monument to Chopin", ceramic craftwork "Gold Cock" from the delegation of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, the Brazil Center for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples, the Poland-Korea Association, the State Academic Igor Moiseyev Dance Company of Russia.

He was also awarded gifts from different countries and international organizations and individual persons. They included New Socialist Party of Japan, the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain, the director of the Phoenix Satellite TV Holdings LTD., Hong Kong China, the general director of the Television Station "Tele Andina 23" of Ecuador and the high priest of Saifukuji-Temple, Japan.

The Socialist Party of Benin and the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia declared that Kim Jong Il was elected their honorary chairman, saying that he was the greatest man recognized by the world as he contributed to accomplishing the human cause of independence.

He was awarded the honorary citizenship from Gusau City, Zamfara State and Damaturu City, Yobe State of Nigeria.

Caluma City, Bolivar Province and Cuenca City, Azuay Province of Ecuador registered him as honorary citizen.

He was presented with the title of honorary activist of the anti-fascist movement from the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union, silk banners, peace prizes and diplomas from the International Anti-Imperialism Coordinating Committee, the African Peace Fund and the Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics.
