Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Service personnel, people from all walks of life and schoolchildren laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and portraits depicting their beaming images across the country on Tuesday, the second anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.

An endless stream of masses visited their statues on Mansu Hill.

Seen before the statues was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries, national institutions and units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and institutions, enterprises, industrial establishments, farms, schools, etc. in Pyongyang and bouquets and flowers were placed before the statues.

Also laid before the statues was a floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-imperialist National Democratic Front.

The people made bows to the statues, looking back on the noble revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Floral baskets in the name of KPA units, institutions and enterprises and bouquets and flowers were laid before the statues and portraits at various places in Pyongyang including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security and the Mansudae Art Studio.

Service personnel, people and schoolchildren across the country also visited the statues and portraits to pay respects to them.
