High Tribute Paid to Kim Jong Il in Humblest Reverence
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- The army and people of the DPRK paid tribute to General Secretary Kim Jong Il in humblest reverence on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his demise, deeply yearning for him.

Service personnel, people of all social standings and schoolchildren laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of Kim Jong Il in Pyongyang and other parts of the country and made bows.

There took place meetings and concerts conveying deep reverence for him in different parts of the country.

Officials and other people in Ryanggang Province held the remembrance meeting "Shine for All Ages, the General's Exploits". The performers lauded Kim Jong Il for visiting Taehongdan County to make a new history of potato farming and name the baby to be born in a family of discharged soldiers.

Artistes of South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces gave remembrance concerts "We Miss the Image of the Sun" and "Eternal Care of the Sun" in which they highly praised the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il who made the intense forced march till the last moments of his great life.

Workers, members of the trade unions and the women's unions, youth and students in Jagang, South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces at the remembrance concerts expressed the ever-deepening boundless reverence of service personnel and people for Kim Jong Il.

There took place oath-taking meetings of workers, agricultural workers, members of the women's unions, youth and students across the country.
