Kim Jong Il Remembered by Personages of Different Countries
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

They included a remembrance meeting, a Korean book and photo exhibition and a film show in Finland, Brazil and Indonesia on December 7 and 11.

Displayed on the front walls of venues of the events were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

On display there were photos documenting the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il and exploits of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were Korean books including works of peerlessly great men and photos showing successes made by the army and people of the DPRK in building a thriving socialist nation.

The chairman of the Paektu Association of Finland said that the noble life of Kim Jong Il who devoted himself to the people's happiness and prosperity will always be cherished in the hearts of the Korean people and progressive mankind.

Friends in Finland are convinced that the Korean people will surely build a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, holding Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever, he said.

The director of the Rabitra Bahtera Pratama Co. of Indonesia said that Kim Jong Il devoted himself to carrying out the human cause of independence and turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist fortress equipped with powerful war deterrence, adding that his life was a great one.

He said that progressive mankind will always remember the exploits of Kim Jong Il who led the DPRK to only victory in the political and military confrontation with the U.S. through his Songun revolutionary leadership.

Participants in the film show watched the Korean film "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation".
