Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- There took place meetings, book and photo exhibitions, and film shows in Chile, Brazil and Nigeria between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5 on the occasion of the second anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

On display in the venues of the events were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos documenting revolutionary activities of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing achievements made by the Korean people in building a thriving socialist nation.

Films shown included Korean films "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation" and "The Tower of the Juche Idea".

Eduardo Artes, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chile (Proletarian Action), praised Kim Jong Il for frustrating the imperialists' vicious anti-socialist moves with his iron will and pluck, reliably defending the sovereignty of the country and demonstrating the dignity of the DPRK as an invincible political and military power.

The chairman of the Brazilian Committee for Remembering Leader Kim Jong Il noted that the army and people of the DPRK have made great achievements in the efforts for building a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting in Brazil.
