Present there on invitation were figures of political parties, governments, organizations and institutions including the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Foreign Ministry, the National Assembly, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Vietnamese Committee for Supporting Korea, the Academy of Social Sciences and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

Speeches were made at the reception.

The vice-chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam said that the close relations between President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung served a solid basis of friendly relations between the two parties and countries.

He went on:

Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam constituted great support to the struggle of the Vietnamese people for defending the sovereignty of the country and achieving its reunification.

The Communist Party of Vietnam and its government and people always remember the Korean people's support and encouragement for the struggle for the independence of the country and the building of a new society.

The Korean people are now waging a dynamic struggle for the building of a thriving nation and national reunification, the behests of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il under the wise leadership of First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Un.

The Communist Party, government and people of Vietnam extend invariable solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause.

We will make positive efforts to develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the WPK and the Korean people on a new high stage.

Round-table talks took place at a joint agricultural corporation on Nov. 29 under the sponsorship of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association.
