New Multimedia "Korean Food" Brought Out in DPRK
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- The Sojae Cooking Information Exchange Company under the Korean Association of Cooks has recently brought out multimedia "Korean Food" Part 1.

The part 1 "Family Cooking" is divided into two chapters, the first one on cooking methods of 9 dishes including corn noodle, pork steak, steamed bean curd seasoned with spices and carp soup and the second one on cooking methods of 23 dishes like rice mixed with egg, myongthae (walleye pollack) boiled down in peppered bean paste and tomato and cucumber salad.

An Song Il, an official of the company, told KCNA:

The multimedia helps people easily cook dishes as it introduces in detail cooking methods of different dishes including preparation of raw materials and knacks of cooking.

The part 2 and 3 will deal with specialties of different areas, holiday and seasonal dishes and other traditional ones.

The company has already opened a local homepage for disseminating cooking methods and has a plan to introduce Korean food on a world-wide scale from 2014.
