Rodong Sinmun Dismisses U.S. Initiative to Build "World without Nuclear Weapons" as Hypocritical
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The U.S. talk about "nuclear disarmament" is full of lies and rhetoric, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in an article.

It goes on:

The U.S. is the world's biggest nuclear weapons state and a nuclear war criminal state which brought nuclear disaster to humankind for the first time in the world. Therefore, the U.S. has greater obligation as regards the issue of nuclear disarmament than any other countries.

This being a hard reality, the U.S. is persistently pursuing a nuclear war policy in disregard of commitments under international law including the NPT.

By origin, the U.S. initiative to build "a world without nuclear weapons" contravenes its foreign policy.

It is needless to say that the U.S. can hardly be interested in building "a world without nuclear weapons" as it regards nuclear weapons as a means to realize its ambition to dominate the world.

The U.S. has pressed forward the development and production of new type nuclear weapons with a goal to hold nuclear supremacy and carry out its nuclear war strategy.

The U.S. is keen to make nuclear weapons usable in all wars like conventional weapons.

After proclaiming a preemptive attack as its state policy and designating various countries as its targets of nuclear attack the U.S. is stepping up in real earnest the preparations for mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on those countries at any moment.

The danger of a thermonuclear war is increasing day by day worldwide owing to the U.S. arms buildup under the signboard of building "a world without nuclear weapons".

The above-said initiative of the U.S. is nothing but a smokescreen for covering up its moves to realize the ambition to dominate the world by dint of nuclear supremacy.

The Korean Peninsula is fraught with the greatest danger of a nuclear war.

Having put the DPRK on the list of preemptive nuclear attack the U.S. nuclear war maniacs are threatening the DPRK to make a preemptive nuclear attack without any advanced warning.

The U.S. had better stop paying lip-service to nuclear disarmament but show it in practice, the article concludes.
