DPRK-China Fine Art Exhibition Opens in China
Beijing, December 1 (KCNA) -- A DPRK-China joint fine art exhibition was opened in Beijing on November 30 under the co-sponsorship of the Mansudae Art Studio and the House of Oriental Culture and Arts of China.

Displayed at the venue were Korean paintings, oil paintings and graphic paintings showing the Korean people's efforts for building a thriving nation, their happy life, beautiful scenery of Songun Korea and the DPRK-China friendship.

Also displayed there were fine art pieces on the theme of Sino-DPRK friendship created by Chinese artists.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the House of Oriental Culture and Arts, Chinese artists and fans and the staff members of the DPRK embassy in Beijing and the delegation of the Mansudae Art Studio on a visit to China.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

Cultural exchanges serve as a bond linking the minds of the peoples of the two countries and a major component of the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations the speakers said. This helped lay a solid foundation for the development of the bilateral relations.

They admired DPRK artists for successfully creating truthful, simple, beautiful and graceful fine art pieces.

The exhibition would show the development and social progress of the two countries as it deepens bilateral friendship and further activates the exchange between artists, they noted, expressing their determination to achieve greater success through continued cultural and art exchanges and cooperation and thus make tangible contribution to the prosperity of the two countries with art.
