Scientists, Technicians Tour Mangyongdae
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- Participants in a national meeting of scientists and technicians visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung.

They laid flowers before the graves of the President's grandparents Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik and his parents Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok and paid silent tribute.

They looked round the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum and the native home of the President, being briefed on the historical relics preserved there.

They also visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong. They paid floral tribute to Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero.

Making the round of the cemetery, they renewed their resolution to be loyal to supreme leader Kim Jong Un and make a dynamic offensive to make a breakthrough in the latest science and technology with many scientific and technological achievements by learning after the fighting spirit and traits of the revolutionary martyrs.

They visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and paid homage to the statue of Kim Il Sung acknowledging the cheering crowds at a square where the military parade was held to mark the victory in the war.

They presented flowers to the sculpture "Victory" in the Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War and paid respect to the victors of the great annals.

Going round several halls of the museum they learnt about the undying exploits Kim Il Sung performed for the victory in the war and leader Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary feats.

They toured the Central Mushroom Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Okryu Children's Hospital and Pyongyang Essential Foodstuff Factory and enjoyed the performance of the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble.
