S. Korean Regime Slammed for Its Moves to Dissolve Political Party
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- Representatives of 59 civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Nov. 6 at which they declared illegal and null and void the motion calling for the judgment on disbanding the Unified Progressive Party (UPP) that passed through the puppet State Council meeting.

This is because the so-called attempted rebellion which the authorities cited as the ground for dissolving the political party cannot be regarded as a crime as it has not yet gone through the first trial, they held.

It is also because the programme of the UPP does not contain any element going against law, they said, adding it is illegal to label the party's programme which calls for politics for workers and peasants as lawbreaking.

The Park Geun Hye regime is resorting to such unreasonable actions in a bid to conceal the acts of interfering in the election by power organs being disclosed one after another and bring the present chaotic situation under control, they noted.

If the UPP, which secured the position of the second opposition party with people's support, is forcibly dissolved by the present regime as its political retaliation and a remedy to get rid of its crisis, democracy will be ruthlessly trampled down in this land, they held.

Park would be well advised to refrain from violating democracy any longer, they warned.
