S. Korean Organizations Accuse Puppet Regime of Suppressing Progressive Party
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society and the Bar Association for Democratic Society held a meeting in Seoul on Nov. 8 to denounce the puppet authorities' moves to coercively disband the Unified Progressive Party (UPP).

Speakers said that the Park Geun Hye regime cooked up the plotted rebellion against the UPP to calm down the public anger caused by the Intelligence Service's interference in the election, and made a motion calling for disbanding the UPP.

In particular, the motion was passed through the "State Council meeting" without the meeting of undersecretaries and with a short time given for investigation, a big procedural mistake, they said.

They held it was intended to suppress freedom of thinking and oppress political activities of the progressive forces, adding that the authorities' attempt to disband the party has entered the phase of practical implementation.

It is an important task facing the civic and public circles to energetically launch the actions for freedom of political activities, they added.
