Crackdown on Progressive Political Party Condemned in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- Members of the local assemblies from the Unified Progressive Party of south Korea protested the puppet regime's moves to dissolve a political party.

They held a press conference outside the building of Chongwadae, the puppet presidential office, on Nov. 8. The "government" railroaded the motion calling for judging the dissolution of the party through the "State Council meeting". This is an expression of crackdown upon the opposition party and a move to destroy the political party, they said, adding:

The crackdown upon the party, a prelude to Park Geun Hye's dictatorship, is crude violation of democracy.

Park tried hard for more supporting votes while crying out for the "unity of the people" during election campaign. Now she is working hard to split up the people.

They urged Park to drop the motion calling for judging the dissolution of the party, make an apology to the people and immediately stop the dictatorial rule.

On Nov. 7, they staged a collective hair-cutting action at Seoul Square.

They would not overlook suppression of the progressive political party by those who took power by an illegal and corrupt way, they declared.

Then they staged a demonstration.
