"Confidence-Building Process" Is Source of North-South Distrust, Confrontation: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The "confidence-building process", the "policy toward the north" touted by the south Korean authorities, is the anti-reunification policy aimed to fan up the distrust and hostility between the north and the south and escalate the confrontation with compatriots.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in an article in this regard:

The puppet forces alleged that "confidence-building process" is based on "firm security" and "substantial deterrence forces". This goes to clearly prove that the "policy toward the north" pursued by the south Korean authorities is, in a fact, a war policy to justify the military provocation and showdown with the use of force.

Dialogue between the north and the south suspended and distrust increased owing to the puppet forces' deliberate and premeditated moves of using the dialogue for escalating confrontation with compatriots under the "confidence-building process".

The attitude toward the north-south declarations is a touchstone distinguishing whether they want to improve the inter-Korean relations or not.

In view of this, the "confidence-building process" goes quite contrary to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The declarations call for multi-faceted dialogue and cooperation but the "confidence-building process" refuses full-scale dialogue and cooperation under the pretext of the nuclear issue.

The situation clearly proves the anti-reunification nature of the "confidence-building process" as the source of escalating confrontation with compatriots.

The puppet authorities let loose a spate of vituperation to give impression that they are concerned about improving the inter-Korean relations while talking about the "confidence-building process". This is an unpardonable mockery and insult to all the compatriots at home and abroad aspiring after independent reunification, peace and prosperity.
