Housewives' Stockbreeding Unit in Chongjin of DPRK
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- In Chongjin City, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, there is the Phohang District Housewives' Stockbreeding Management Board, which has been well known in the country.

After its birth in January Juche 71 (1982), the Board has supplied tens of thousands of tons of meat to inhabitants and workers at Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, Musan Mining Complex and other industrial establishments.

A large quantity of pork has been produced this year, too.

Chairwoman Jo Ok Hui, a winner of the title of Labor Hero, and members of the Board have made all efforts for the prosperity and development of the country with a strong sense of patriotism.

Thanks to their devoted efforts, the Board developed into a big livestock producer with an orderly breeding system.

It has rooms for scientific and technical knowledge and cultural house, feed and breed warehouses, two breeding pig blocks and chicken, duck, and goose houses, all built with its own efforts.

It also cultivated more than ten hectares of fields and built a feed processing base to solve the feed problem, while introducing good breeds of high productivity and advanced stock-raising method and techniques and establishing a strict anti-epidemic system.

The Board is now visited by many people who want to learn from its experience.
