Korean People's Struggle for National Reunification Supported by Cuban Figure
Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- Jose Manuel Galego Montano, vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, at a stamp-issuing ceremony held in Havana on October 16 to mark the 65th anniversary of the DPRK stressed that the founding of the DPRK marked an historical event that proclaimed the birth of an independent and sovereign state, genuine country of the people.

He said:

The DPRK, the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolutionary armed forces founded by President Kim Il Sung provide a fundamental guarantee for the DPRK to confidently advance along the road of its development.

The Korean people defeated the U.S. and Japanese imperialists, built a socialist power and achieved eye-opening successes in all fields under the leadership of the President.

Kim Il Sung is the real comrade-in-arms and close friend of the Cuban people.

The fraternal relations between the Republic of Cuba and the DPRK were provided by Fidel Castro Ruz and Kim Il Sung.

This friendship is injecting vitality into the Cuban people in their efforts for building socialism.

The peoples of the two countries are struggling against the U.S. imperialists, their common enemy.

We will positively support the Korean people in their struggle for peacefully achieving the country's reunification free from any interference by foreign forces.

I wish Marshal Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the great leaders, success in his work for leading the building of a thriving nation.

I send sincere congratulations to the fraternal party, government and people of the DPRK.
