The stamp depicts the Chollima Statue, the flag of the DPRK and the magnolia blossom against the background of the panorama of Pyongyang with the Tower of the Juche Idea in the center. Written in the stamp are letters reading "65th Anniversary of the DPRK" and "Cuba 2013".

A stamp-issuing ceremony was held in Havana on October 16.

Present at the ceremony were officials of the party, government and organizations of Cuba and masses and the general secretary of the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America.

On hand there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Cuba and members of his embassy.

After the ceremony, the participants watched a performance given by Cuban artistes.
