Wreaths Laid before Grave of Ri Po Ik
Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the grave of Ri Po Ik, grandmother of President Kim Il Sung, in Mangyongdae on Friday on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of her death.

Seen standing before the grave was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop and other senior officials, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and other people in Pyongyang.

A wreath was laid before the grave in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK.

Also laid before the grave were wreaths in the name of working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, military academies, scientific and media institutions and party and power bodies and farms in Pyongyang.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the noble life of Ri Po Ik, who ensured the steady continuity of the trait of the revolutionary family in Mangyongdae of loving the country, people and nation and devoted her all to the country and its people.
