WPK's Anniversary Marked by Russian Political Parties
Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The Russian political parties posted special write-ups on their websites on October 9 to mark the 68th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks posted an article titled "The DPRK greeting October 10, the 68th anniversary of the WPK" illustrated with a photo documenting the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and a picture of the Monument to Party Founding.

The article said that the WPK has its historic roots in the Down-with-Imperialism Union formed by Kim Il Sung on October 17, 1926.

It went on:

The WPK goes by the august name of Kim Il Sung as he performed great exploits by founding and developing it.

The Korean people defeated the boss of imperialism by displaying matchless bravery and patriotism in the great Fatherland Liberation War fought to beat back the U.S. imperialists' invasion under the leadership of the party.

They waged a heroic struggle for building a socialist state under hard conditions after the war.

The single-minded unity of the DPRK grew stronger thanks to the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The WPK firmly defended socialism centered on the popular masses, weathering all trials, remaining true to the behests of Kim Il Sung under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The "Communists of Russia" Party edited an article introducing the glorious history of the WPK achieving victory only thanks to the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu.
