Cuban Ambassador to DPRK Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- German Hermin Ferras Alvarez, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, on Thursday hosted a reception at his embassy on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, and officials concerned.

A staff member of the Cuban embassy was present there.

The Cuban ambassador in his speech reiterated his will to boost the fraternal friendly ties between the two parties and peoples provided under the deep care of the preceding leaders.

He expressed belief that the Korean people would build a reunified thriving nation under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and the WPK.

He expressed sincere hope on behalf of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban government that the WPK, which represents all the ideals of the Korean people and socialism, would grow stronger in the future, too.

Kim Yong Il said in his speech that the friendly relations between the two parties and two peoples of the DPRK and Cuba are the particular comradely relations which President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il forged with Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz.

The friendly relations between the two parties and two countries will last forever as they were established and have steadily grown in the joint struggle for socialism against imperialism and the U.S., he noted, and continued:

The DPRK will extend invariable support and encouragement to the Cuban party and people in their just struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country and the gains of the revolution.
