Kim Jong Un Provides Field Guidance to Daily Necessities Factory
Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, provided field guidance to the Daily Necessities Factory managed by Kim Ik Chol and specified tasks and ways for modernizing the factory.

He first went round the monument to the on-the-spot instructions given by President Kim Il Sung, the monument to the field guidance provided by the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu and the room devoted to the education in the revolutionary history.

He looked back with deep emotion on the course covered by the factory, recalling that Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk visited the factory several times including their visit on March 30, 1947 and gave instructions on increasing the production of quality daily necessities by improving business management.

Going round various workshops, cultural hall, etc., he learned in detail about production and technical specifications of equipment and workers' cultural and emotional life.

After learning in detail about the interior and exterior of the factory and varieties and quality of daily necessities, he praised the factory for doing a lot of work. He noted he visited the factory in order to make it a model of the daily necessities factories in the 21st century.

He said it is very important to mass-produce daily necessities for satisfactorily ensuring the people's creative life while producing ultra-modern machines in order to build the DPRK into an economic power and enable its people to lead a happy life with no more to desire in the world.

He instructed the factory to aim high in modernizing itself as required by the new century to make one feel refreshed when seeing and bring about a dramatic change in the appearances of not only all its production buildings but its cultural and welfare establishments so that its present may stand in sharp contrast to its past.

He showed such loving care as promising to personally solve all the issues arising in modernizing the factory including the matter of fully providing modern equipment necessary for its modernization.

He proposed the officials, greatly excited by his visit to the factory on the significant day when leader Kim Jong Il was elected general secretary of the WPK and his precious instructions, to call the factory "October 8 Factory" in the sense that they would work hard, always remembering the desire of Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country.

He was accompanied by Ri Man Gon, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, and Hong Yong Chil, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK.
