Korean in U.S. Calls for Making All Efforts to Reunify Country
Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- O In Dong, a Korean in the U.S., attended a meeting marking the 6th anniversary of the October 4 declaration held in Ryongsan, Seoul on Saturday and gave a lecture calling for waging a more dynamic movement for national reunification.

It is very natural for a nation to live together and it is an absolute requirement in the light of the nation's history, he said.

Reunification is becoming a more urgent issue as the Korean Peninsula was divided by foreign forces, he noted.

If the Korean nation strengthens cooperation and exchange between the north and the south and reunifies the country on the basis of the June 15 joint declaration, it will be able to make great development, he said.

Now the south side is fawning on the U.S. approaching the issue of the Korean Peninsula with a main emphasis on its own interests, it noted, charging that no other place in the world serves foreign forces so actively as south Korea does.

No one offers reunification to Koreans and it can be achieved only by their concerted efforts, he said, calling for making all efforts to reunify the country.
