Sportspersons Thankful for WPK's Loving Care
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Sportspersons and coaches of merit and their families moved to a new apartment built on the bank of the River Pothong in Pyongyang. Every flat in the apartment is fully furnished.

They expressed their excitements to KCNA.

Boxer Pak Kyong Ok, 64 kg-category champion at the 7th World Women's Boxing Championships, said that born into a worker's family, I was awarded with the title of People's Athlete and moved to a new house beyond my imagination under the warm care of the Workers' Party of Korea. To reward this loving care, I'm fully determined to prove successful in the World Women's Boxing Championships next year.

Kim Myong Hun, father of boxer Kim Hyang Ok, the winner of the 5th World Women's Boxing Championships, said:

I had done farm work for my life in Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province. As soon as I got the news my daughter was assigned a new house, I came here to see her luxurious house never dreamt of. I have no words to express my lots of thanks.

Ri Chun Hui, wife of senior coach Kim Chol Ung, said:

My husband led the DPRK team to victory in the mixed doubles of the 52nd ITTF World Championships (individual events).

Every room is perfect. When I look around the kitchen, it is fully equipped for housewife. I am deeply moved by the warm care of the WPK.

Among newcomers in the apartment is Kim Chun Hui, coach of the Kigwancha Sports Team whose husband is People's Athlete Im Yong Su. Kim trained female weightlifter Rim Jong Sim up to a 69-kg category winner at London Olympics. Her husband Im also proved successful at the 72nd World Men's Weightlifting Championships and other international contests.

Kim and Im expressed their determination to make active contribution to realizing the WPK's idea on building a sports power by training more competent weightlifters.

All sportspersons of the country, inspired by the loving care of the WPK, are unanimously resolved to achieve more successful results at international games.
