Present there on invitation were the visiting delegation of the China-Korea Friendship Association led by Chairman Wu Donghe, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Liu Hongcai, and his embassy officials.

Minister of Public Health Kang Ha Guk, chairman of the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Kim Jin Bom, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned were also present.

Kang Ha Guk said in his speech that the foundation of the PRC was the historical event which brought a radical turn to the life of the Chinese people.

He referred to the fact that the Chinese people have achieved successes in the efforts to embody the spirit of the 18th congress of the party and attain the goal for economic construction under the 12th five-year plan under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with Xi Jinping as general secretary.

The DPRK will as ever make efforts to boost the DPRK-China friendship, common treasure of the peoples of the two countries, he added.

Liu Hongcai said in his speech that the DPRK is achieving progress in the work for economic development and improving the standard of people's life under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The Chinese people are pleased that the fraternal Korean people achieve successes in the building of a thriving socialist nation, he noted.

The two countries linked by the same mountain and rivers have a long history of friendship, he said, expressing the belief that the China-DPRK friendship will be everlasting in the future, too.
