An opening concert was given at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall on Tuesday.

Among the audience were Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, Kim Ho Yun, director of the Yun I Sang Music Institute, officials concerned, creators, artistes, teachers and students in the fields of stage art and art education, Pyongyangites and overseas compatriots.

Vice-Minister of Culture Han Chol made an address.

The Orchestra of the Yun I Sang Music Institute put on the stage such numbers as "Yungdan" for stringed instruments.

The concert was highly acclaimed by the audience for its successful representation of the themes of music pieces through refined rendition.

The concert will last till Thursday.
