Split of Korean Peninsula Causes Tension, Stand-off: Cyprian President

| Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The split of the Korean Peninsula imposed on the Koreans against their will causes escalation of tension and confrontation. Nicos Anastasiades, president of the Republic of Cyprus, said this when receiving credentials from Kim Chun Guk, DPRK ambassador to the country, on Sept. 16. Touching on developing the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation, the president sincerely hoped for fresh success of the DPRK government and people in their efforts for social development, improvement of people's livelihood and national reunification. |
