An Osaka Prefectural meeting of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the 65th anniversary of the DPRK took place in Osaka City, Japan on Sept. 10.

Present there were Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), other officials and compatriots.

Read out at the meeting was a congratulatory message supreme leader Kim Jong Un sent to all officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the DPRK.

Pu Yong Uk said in his report that the Koreans in Japan have carried forward the tradition of the predecessors who have glorified their worthwhile life on the road of patriotism, looking up to the DPRK as their motherland and beacon of hope.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.

An art performance "Prospering Motherland, Happiness of Compatriots" was given.

A meeting of the Sumida Chapter of Chongryon for celebrating the 65th anniversary of the DPRK was held in Sumida Ward, Tokyo Metropolis, on Sept. 8 and an art performance was given by the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe.

A celebration meeting and reception were held by the Zuhoku Chapter of Chongryon in Kanagawa Prefecture on the same day.

The speakers there called for intensifying the work of the chapters and branches by concerted efforts to significantly greet the 23rd congress of Chongryon to be held this year.
