Its article titled "Socialist Korea" said that Generalissimo Kim Il Sung led the 15-year-long anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory to liberate the country and found the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East.

It continued:

The Korean people inflicted a heavy defeat on the U.S. in the Korean War, the first of its kind in its history, defending the DPRK's sovereignty and dignity, and built it into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defense, by dynamically carrying out the socialist construction of various phases.

The socialist system centered on the popular masses was established in the DPRK and it was strengthened under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The DPRK defended socialism even in the worst adversity at around the end of the last century, emerging a politico-ideological and military power, and is now striving to become an economic power.

Another article titled "Songun Politics of Korea" noted that Kim Jong Il began his Songun revolutionary leadership by inspecting Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on Aug. 25, 1960, and formulated the Songun politics as a main political mode under socialism. It explained the validity and vitality of the politics.

The bulletin in an article titled "Sports enthusiasm in the DPRK" noted that sports enthusiasm is mounting in the country and astonishing successes are being made in international tournaments, adding that the DPRK is dynamically advancing towards a sports power under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
