Portuguese Party Leader Supports Struggle of WPK

| Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Portugal said his party would send full support to the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in the struggle to build a thriving socialist nation and achieve the independent reunification of the country. He said this when meeting with the delegation of WPK officials on Sept. 8 which participated in the 37th festival of Avante, organ of the Communist Party of Portugal. He sent warm congratulations to the WPK and Korean people on the 65th birthday of the DPRK. The 65 years of the DPRK is a history in which it has demonstrated the advantages and invincibility of Korean-style socialism, he noted, and went on: The Korean people demonstrated the might of single-minded unity around respected Kim Jong Un through the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the war. The military power built by dint of Songun politics and the will of the Korean people to firmly defend the socialist system were fully demonstrated in the confrontation with the U.S. |
