The statement said that they could not but be surprised by the fact that the brutal massacre of Koreans by the Japanese imperialists during the great Kanto quake is hardly mentioned in the modern history of Japan.

It urged the Japanese government to properly reflect on the massacre of Koreans and probe truth behind it and reinstate those Koreans who were mercilessly killed.

It demanded Japan to give up national chauvinism, the root cause of crimes, and make an apology and reparation for the massacre.
