Discrimination against Part-time Teachers under Fire in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- University teachers belonging to the Union of Part-time Professors of south Korea held a meeting in Seoul on August 29 in protest against the puppet regime's policy of discrimination. They accused the authorities of practicing discrimination against the part-time teachers in payment, employment, etc, calling them "time lecturers." Holding that the part-time teachers are also educators, they urged the authorities to recognize their status and stop the discrimination against them in payment. They declared they would come out in actions for securing a legislation calling for the guarantee of teacher status, stable employment, living conditions, etc. |
