National Exhibition of Achievements of Young Scientists and Technicians Held
Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The national exhibition of achievements made by young scientists and technicians closed with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition House Thursday. It was opened on Aug. 23 in celebration of the Youth Day.

On display at the exhibition were more than 3 000 valuable inventions and new technical proposals including over 520 IT products which were developed by organizations of the youth league and young people across the country through their dynamic drive to push back the frontiers of latest science and technology under the uplifted banner of the industrial revolution in the new century.

During the exhibition the participants introduced valuable scientific and technical achievements and exchanged experience gained in the efforts to apply them into production.

Present at the closing ceremony were officials concerned and young scientists and technicians from across the country.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a closing address.

Results of the general examination were announced there.

Pyongyang City and the State Academy of Sciences took the special place.

South Phyongan Province, the Academy of Medical Science, Jong Kwang Myong, researcher of Kim Il Sung University, Yun Kwang Hun, post-graduate student of Korea University of Physical Education, and Mun Pyol, teacher of Phyongsong University of Education, took the first place.

Those participants that won high appreciations were awarded citations, certificates of invention and certificates of rationalization proposals.
