World's Cultural Heritages in Kaesong City of DPRK (6)
Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- There is the Seven Tombs Cluster at the foot of Mt. Mansu in Haeson-ri, Kaesong City of the DPRK, which was listed as world's cultural heritage.

The tombs are believed to be ones of those related to the royal family in the late period of Koryo Kingdom (918-1392) for their sizes, structures and remains.

The round-shaped cluster was built on a slope of the mountain.

Each of the tombs has stone pieces piled up in its lower part, with stone parapets and stone-made animal sculptures set up around it. The tombs are situated from the west to the east.

The Myongrung Cluster consisting of three tombs is located at the foot of a mountain about one kilometer west of the Mausoleum of King Wang Kon.

One of the three tombs was found to be Chung Mok's, the 29th king (1345-1348) of Koryo Kingdom.

The one-chamber tombs have flat ceilings with stars pictured on them. Their walls were built with plain rocks decorated with paintings.
