Rodong Sinmun Observes Youth Day
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Wednesday dedicates an editorial to the Youth Day.

President Kim Il Sung formed the Young Communist League of Korea on August 28, Juche 16 (1927), opening up an epochal turn in developing the Korean youth movement.

General Scretary Kim Jong Il instituted this significant day as Youth Day.

The Korean youth movement is ushering in a new heyday in its development thanks to supreme leader Kim Jong Un's idea of giving importance to the youth and under his leadership.

Giving ceaseless field guidance to the worksites for effecting a great surge, he instills patriotism and the spirit of "At a go" into the minds of the young people. He had pictures taken with sportspersons who displayed the honor of the country in international games and made sure that those who devoted their lives to the party and the leader lead an eternal life. Under his great loving care and trust, the young Korean people are devoting their all to the party, revolution, country and the people.

The young people are filled with the same spirit as displayed by the first generation of revolution, including Kim Hyok and Cha Kwang Su, who devoted their lives for their leader.

It is the patriotic spirit of the youth to beat back the aggressors at one blow by waging the all-people resistance in a decisive battle and reliably defend their native places, schools, worksites and villages, regarding it as greatest expression of patriotism to defend the country.

Not a few young people in the world have been forsaken as trouble makers of society, marginalized by history. But the young Korean people are demonstrating their might as the most powerful force to open the rosy future of the country and the nation, being loved and trusted by the party and the people.

The editorial calls upon the young people to more dynamically advance towards the rosy future of Songun Korea under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, loudly singing the song "March of Korean Youth".
