S. Korean Chief Executive Accused of Turning Back on Public Mindset
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on August 24 carried an editorial accusing the present chief executive of turning her back on public mindset.

Six months have passed since the present regime took office but the prospect of people's living is still gloomy and peace is in a fragile state, the editorial deplored.

What is most serious is that democratization is lagging behind, it said, adding the current development around the case of the Intelligence Service's interference in the election proves that the violation of democracy exists in society in actuality.

The chief executive is still keeping mum about the above-said case, it charged.

Candlelight is flaring up in streets in protest against this but the chief executive is so mistaken as to regard obstinacy and stubbornness as "principle and confidence", it ridiculed.

The authorities are pushing the opposition parties to a tight corner and intensifying political offensive and, at the same time, firing water cannon into citizens out in streets, an indication of the crude violation of democracy and human rights that plague south Korea at present, it noted.

As long as the "president" thinks that she can do everything by herself, the tasks for improving the standard of people's living and achieving peace will face difficulties, it warned.
