Among the audience were senior party and state officials including Kim Yong Nam and officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Force and other people in the city.

Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as mixed sextet and mixed chorus "Let's Sing of August 25, Day of Songun", orchestra for accordion "The Sound of a Horse's Hooves in Mt. Paektu" and dance "Final Decisive Battle".

The performers sang high praises of the revolutionary feats General Secretary Kim Jong Il performed by consolidating the national power, honorably defending socialism of Juche and providing an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and a final victory under the uplifted banner of Songun.

Also staged were male trio "I Am a Soldier of the General", tap dance "Joy of Recruited Soldier" and female solo "At a Go" and other numbers representing the pride and optimism of the service personnel.
