Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed by Polish Organization
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- The Polish Branch of the Korean Friendship Association released a statement on August 15, the 68th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Japanese imperialists imposed the fate of colonial slavery upon the Korean people in the past, the statement said, and went on:

During their occupation of Korea, they massacred innocent people, forced women into sexual slavery and brutally suppressed the Korean people, enforcing the policy of obliterating the Korean nation, etc.

However, the Korean people staged an indomitable struggle against the Japanese imperialist aggressors.

President Kim Il Sung led the anti-Japanese armed struggle, liberating Korea on August 15, 1945.

After the liberation of the country, the Korean people began leading a new independent and creative life as genuine masters of their destiny.

The DPRK is now dynamically advancing, foiling all the moves of the imperialists for aggression under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The branch extends warm congratulations and firm solidarity to the Korean people.
