New Kinds of Iodine Medicines Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- New kinds of organoiodine medicines -- lipiodol capsule and lipiodol tablet -- were developed in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Made from oil of sea mollusk, the capsule helps prevent and cure thyroid diseases.

In this regard, KCNA met Ko Un Hyang, a doctor of the hospital of Kim Chaek University of Technology.

She said:

Lipiodol capsule is 2.5 times higher than existing iodine medicines in absorption rate and efficacy.

It was proved that the cure rate of thyroid diseases is over 95.

Lipiodol tablet prevents different kinds of diseases developed for lack of iodine, helping people develop their physical strength.

The medicines obtained national patent and invention rights.
